Pliocene insectivores from Węże

This paper contains a description of 18 insectivore species recovered from the bone breccia at Węże near Działoszyn (province of Lódź). The described forms include four new species and one new genus: Erinaceus samsonowiczi n. sp.,
Blarinoides mariae n. gen., n. sp., Neomys soriculoides n. sp., Suncus zelceus n. sp. The writer explains his methods of work and discusses the age and origin of the breccia, as well as the problem of the palaeogeographic distribution of some species found in the Węże bone breccia.
