Trimerocephalus interruptus sp. n. from marly limestones of Famennian age in the Holy Cross Mountains is characterized by a cephalon typical for late species of Trimerocephalus and a pygidiurn typical for Dianops. The preservation of articulated trilobites in Salterian positions in slowly deposited mark of Kowala suggests their infaunal mode of life.

Key words: trilobites, Phacopida, Devonian, Poland, taphonomy.
