Siliceous sponges from the Upper Cretaceous of Poland Part II. Monaxonia and Triaxonia

Twenty five specie,s of sponges, assigned to Monaxonia and 19 species to Triaxonia, including 9 new ones (Monactellida: Reniera munda; Monalithistida: Verruculina abnormis, Stichophyma pumiliformis, Coetocorypha butboformis and Bolidium arbustum; Hexactinosa: AphrocaHistes kazimierzensis, A. bochotnicensis, A. maminaris and A. vistutae; Lychniscosa: Rhizopoterion coniforme), are described. In almost all of them, the general morphology, the structure of the skeleton and the morphology of megascleres have !been studied. Differences have been shown in the development of ostia and postka in particular species of Verruculina.
