A new species of aberrant bivalved gastropods Berthelinia krachi n. sp. found in the Lower Tortonian Pleurotoma clays at Korytnica (southern slopes of the Holy Cross Mountains, Central Poland) are described. It is infered that the life conditions of these Lower Tortonian gastropods in the Korytnica basin were identical with those of all Recent representatives of the genus Berthelinia Crosse.
