The Devonian brachiopod Phlogoiderhynchus polonicus (Roemer, 1866) from the Holy Cross Mountains, Poland
Acta Palaeontologica Polonica 20 (2), 1975: 199-221
The brachiopod species, Camarophoria? polonica Roemer 1866, commonly known as Leiorhynchus polonicus (Roemer 1866), is included into the genus Phlogoiderhynchus Sartenaer 1970. Internal structure and morphology are studied and the whole range of intraspecific variability is shown. The stratigraphic range of the species and genus is established as being restricted to the Lower and Middle Polygnathus asymmetricus Zones (do I a). The species is distributed in three facies: in marly limestones and marly shales, very poorly fossiliferous, in limestones with abundant brachiopods and in limestones with coelenterates and differentiated other fauna.
